North Montco Technical Career Center (NMTCC) First-Week Schedules

For high school students attending NMTCC programs, special scheduling applies for the first week of classes:

Tuesday, September 1

  • Full-Time NMTCC: Report to the bus for NMTCC at 7:40 AM.

  • AM NMTCC: Report to Block 2.5, report to the Cafeteria during Blocks 1 and 2, and resume normal schedules during Block 3.

  • PM NMTCC: Eat lunch at 11:15 AM and report to buses for NMTCC at 11:45 AM.

Wednesday, September 2

All NMTCC students (Full-Time, AM, and PM) begin following their normal NMTCC schedule:

  • FT: Report to bus at 7:40 AM.

  • AM: Report to buses at 7:50 AM.

  • PM: Report to buses at 11:50 AM.

Thursday, September 3 – Standard Bell Schedule

  • Red Zone: 7:25 AM – 8:05 AM

  • 1st Block: 8:12 AM – 9:36 AM

  • 2nd Block: 9:43 AM – 11:09 AM

  • 3rd Block: 11:16 AM – 1:14 PM

    • A Lunch: 11:16 AM – 11:46 AM

WELCOME BACK: First-Week Reminders & School District Updates

As the 2026–2027 school year kicks off on Tuesday, September 1, staff across the Souderton Area School District are eager to welcome students back for another year of learning and growth. To help families navigate the start of the year, here is a breakdown of essential scheduling, transportation, and event updates.

Important First-Week Dates & Schedules

  • Tuesday, Sept. 1: First Day of School!

    • Indian Valley Middle School (IVMS): September 1 is an "A Day" following the normal "Daily" bell schedule. All IVMS students must report to their Advisory classrooms at the start of the day. Students will receive their printed schedules, laptops, and organizational academic agendas during Advisory.

    • Wednesday, Sept. 2: "B Day" schedule at IVMS.

  • No School Days: There will be no school on Friday, September 4, or Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day weekend.

Safety & Drop-Off Reminders:

  • Elementary Traffic Safety: Drive slowly in the loop, remain patient while children buckle/unbuckle, and never pass other cars in line. If taking first-day photos, please park in the designated lot and walk your child to the sidewalk.

  • Transportation Plans: Parents are strongly urged to review dismissal routines with their children before school starts and notify the main office early regarding any transportation changes.

  • IVMS Morning Advisory: For the first two weeks of school, all IVMS students will start each day in Advisory and must be in their classroom by 7:40 AM.

Upcoming Events & Activities

  • Back to School Night (Wednesday, Sept. 2): Runs from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM (Adults/Parents only). Parents enter through the gym for a Specials Expo featuring non-classroom staff and tables. Gym doors to classrooms open at 5:55 PM, following three 20-minute sessions for multi-child families.

  • Fall Athletics (7th & 8th Grade Only): Tryouts for football, cheer, field hockey, and soccer continue after school this week. Contact IVMS Athletic Director Courtney Lepping with any questions.

  • Home & School Meeting (Tuesday, Sept. 8): Held at 6:00 PM in the library, with a virtual link available via the Home & School Facebook group.

  • First Responders Assembly (Friday, Sept. 11): Local police, firefighters, and EMTs will be honored. First-responder parents who wish to participate and be interviewed by their child should complete the online RSVP form.

  • Volunteer Opportunity: Home & School is seeking volunteers for kindergarten and 1st-grade lunch support (10:35 AM – 11:30 AM). Please limit sign-ups to 2 slots initially using the online form.
